Program Overview

We offer website design services that include:

• Custom website design and customization of Website templates (from any company)
• Brand strategy consultation
• Brand identity package (colors, fonts, vison & a Work mark Logo)
• Mobile and desktop-optimized versions
• Access to tutorial resources for website maintenance
• See deliverables

Payment Terms

• We require a 50% deposit of the total project fee to reserve your spot in our design calendar.
• The remaining balance will be due upon project completion before being transferred to you.
• All payments are processed through Stripe.
• Late payments may result in project suspension
• No refunds are provided due to the custom nature of our work

Project Requirements

Before we begin, you'll need to provide:

• Client needs to select a showit template from any company and purchase it seperately (Website in a weekend and template customization)
• Client needs to be signed up for Showit on a paid plan of their own
• Client needs to add the Showit Key to their account before the design process starts.
• Client needs to reach out to Showit for domain transfer to get the appropriate URL
• Client needs to have already purchased a domain
• Client needs to migrate blog or podcast if there is one
• Gather testimonials from past clients to use on the website
• Create freebies or lead magnets to use on the website
• Website copy for each of the page - or the site will have dummy text
• External links that will be used on the website
• Legal pages of Terms of Use, Terms and Conditions, and Policy Page must be created before the call. If you do not have these already, I recommend you purchase the templates from our lawyer and do them while we work on the website. If you choose not to use them or want to launch without them, Maison du Pixel and Karen Clark are not responsible for any GDPR compliance issues or legality concerns related to your choice.
• Clients' photos need to be submitted to the Company before design.

Project Timeline

• One rescheduling allowed with 24-hour notice
• Emergency situations are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Project completion timeline:

• Website in a weekend - Completed in 1 weekend (Friday-Sunday)
• Template customization - Completed 6-9 Weeks (dependent on the scope of the project)
• Custom Website - Completed 6+ Weeks  (based on the scope of the project)

Deliverables

• Customization/ personalization of any showit website template (From any company)  - 4-page website: Home, About, Work Together/ sales Offers, Contact
• A 1- hour brand strategy call
• A provided brand colors palette, consisting of 4-6 colors, 2-3 fonts, and a brand vision & 2 word mark logo versions
• Copy Templates, Get Prepared Checklists, & Streamlined Communication
• Customized desktop and mobile versions of your customized website template, including complete mobile + desktop optimization of your customized template website
• Brand style guide
• Access to instructional videos to help guide you through maintaining your website template.

Usage Rights

The final website design becomes your property upon full payment.

Maison du Pixel Design retains the right to:

• Use the work in our portfolio
• Share on social media
• Use for promotional purposes

Design Credits

Designer credit remains in website footer.
Credit includes a link to our website.


Project Modifications

• Number of revision rounds: 3
• Timeline for requesting changes: 1 hr after design is shared with client - website in a weekend 
• 12 hrs after design shared with the client - website customization or custom website 

Booking / Refunds/Cancellation Policy

Booking & Refunds

• Your payment reserves our dedicated time for your project
• Since we block off our schedule specifically for you, all payments are non-refundable
• This includes both deposits and full payments

Payment Plans
If you choose a payment plan, you're agreeing to all scheduled payments
We'll automatically charge your card according to the agreed schedule
Please keep your payment information up to date

What Happens If...
If your payment has been declined. No worries - just update your payment info within 48 hours.
Payment is more than 10 days late? Unfortunately, we'll need to pause our project.
You need to cancel? While we can't refund your booking fee, let's discuss rescheduling options.

Why We Have This Policy:
We block off dedicated time for your project and turn down other bookings to ensure you have our full attention. This policy helps us stay committed to delivering your project on schedule.
Remember: Clear communication is key! If you have any payment concerns, let's talk about it early so we can find a solution together.

Working Relationship

We function as an independent contractor.
Project success relies on mutual cooperation.
Clear communication is essential.
We reserve the right to terminate projects that aren't a good fit.

PROJECT TERMINATION POLICY

Designer-Initiated Termination: 

Designer reserves the right to terminate this agreement if:

• Client fails to provide required materials within 14 days of request
• Client fails to make scheduled payments within 10 days of due date
• Client's conduct is hostile or unprofessional
• Project requirements change substantially from the original scope
• Designer determines the project no longer aligns with their services

In case of Designer-initiated termination:

• All work completed to date remains the property of the Designer
• No refunds will be issued for work completed
• Client will be provided with all completed deliverables to date

Client-Initiated Termination

• The client may terminate this agreement under the following conditions:
• Within 48 hours of signing, 75% of the deposit will be refunded
• Before design work begins, 50% of the deposit will be refunded
• After design work begins: No refund; all payments due
• After final design approval, Full payment is required

Mutual Termination

• If both parties agree to terminate the project:
• Payment will be prorated based on the work completed
• Client receives all completed deliverables
• Both parties sign a termination agreement

Post-Termination
Upon termination:

• All project materials will be archived for 30 days
• Incomplete work remains the property of the Designer
• Client must cease the use of any unpaid deliverables
• Confidentiality obligations remain in effect

Force of Nature etc...

• The contract may be terminated by either party without penalty in case of:
• Natural disasters
• Serious illness/medical emergencies
• Other circumstances beyond reasonable control

 Limitation of Liability

• We are not liable for:
• Third-party services or software
• Content provided by clients
• Consequential damages
• Damages exceeding total project fee
